I guess Tiger Woods was too late in the season to make Collateral Damage’s 10 Worst Marketing Blunders of 2009. But man, there are some good ones in here.
KFC and Oprah? Goldman Sachs quoting the Bible to justify the truly offensive bonuses paid to their execs? Or maybe this joke of a spot for GM where they try the old non-apology apology.
I’m shocked the advertising award show industry wasn’t listed for their late and generally lame response to scam ads and I’m sure the NBA’s continued response to the Tim Donaghy scandal merits at least a mention. But overall, this list is a great how-not-to guide for marketers.
