The web’s best type.
13Oct10
What you’re looking at isn’t a jpeg or a graphic. It’s actual type – on the web.
It’s a product of Web Open Font Format (WOFF) and it’s changing the way the internet will look. Lost World’s Fairs is a collaboration to show exactly how versatile and beautiful WOFF can be. Out: the same old web-safe typefaces that are so boring and stale. In: a whole array of beautiful fonts embedded directly into the page itself so that it replicates itself no matter what computer you’re watching it on.
This opens up a whole new world for digital designers. Super exciting.

But it is a .png (and a graphic). Try copying the type. You can’t. Because it’s a graphic and not type. Other than that, it’s very exciting news.
Ah, but you CAN copy the type. Try it. I just highlighted the last 6 letters of “Atlantis” and here’s what gets pasted: LANTIS
It really is type and not a graphic.
Clarification: Try it from the link in my post. (What I have in this post is a simple .png.)
Got it. Funny, the fonts didn’t load in Firefox, but worked great in Safari.
