What do you know? An ad with an actual consumer benefit.

I’m going to generalize here, but a lot of TV ads break down into two kinds: The ones that give a clear consumer benefit but aren’t very creative and those that are super creative but you wonder what they were actually trying to communicate.

However this one from UK department store John Lewis is great on all fronts. It’s beautifully shot, the music is great, the editing and sfx are seamless and they wrap up the entire concept with a simple, clear consumer benefit.

Really, really nice.
