The corn industry thinks you’re an idiot.


Up for a good laugh? The corn industry, in a sickening attempt to get you to eat more high fructose corn syrup, is changing the name of its product to “corn sugar.”

Since being linked to obesity, Americans are consuming the nutritionally-worthless sweetener at a 20-year low. But hey, a massive obesity and health problem never stopped great marketing, right? “It has been highly disparaged and highly misunderstood,” said Audrae Erickson, president of the Corn Refiners Association.

They’ve even got sickeningly sweet TV commercials to mislead the public.

No word on when the Tobacco industry will change the name of cigarettes to “Pleasure sticks” or when the Pork Rind Council will start calling their product “Crispy, high-protein wonder snacks.”
