Pepsi’s “Social Vending Machine”
Well, I’ve hammered on Pepsi before for not doing things to directly sell product. Their new “Social Vending Machine” is a step in the right direction. People can send codes to friends that can be redeemed at one of these machines – so in essence, you can buy your friend a Pepsi from anywhere.
Of course, until these machines are nationwide, they’re not really going to be selling more Pepsi. But it’s better than just focusing on meaningless “likes” on Facebook.
