From the start I knew there had to be a twist to this, I just didn’t know what was coming. Really funny idea for what most creatives would consider an incredibly boring product. It just goes to show that you can do good work for any client.

Now this is really clever. It’s shot in an interesting way. The weird actions of the thief grab and keep your attention. And then the payoff at the end is a good laugh coupled with the product benefit. This is my favorite spot so far in 2012.

I love everything about this ESPN spot. They’ve been running this campaign for years and it’s great to see how continually fresh they can make it. It just goes to show that if you have a great idea, you can do executions forever. I saw this spot about 50 times during the college bowl season […]

Yes, it’s a little too long, but it’s well done and made me chuckle in – which is more than I can say for 98% of videos like this.

Let’s hope the games are all as good as this spot from W+K. The great thing about this commercial is that it’s something most other spots aren’t – funny without being corny. And that’s much tougher to do than you’d imagine.

Fight Boring

Ikea always does funny stuff. And this one is pretty good as well. It caught my attention from the first frame, kept it throughout, and paid everything off with a fun line at the end. I can’t ask for more than that.

Well designed. Made me laugh. And so, so true. It’s an illustrated guide to horrible movie clichés from the New York International Latino Film Festival.

Gotta say, I liked this spot for Toshiba. Perfectly produced and funny with a focus on a product benefit and feature. Well done for a company that isn’t really known for doing great work.
